Good Morning...I was up early as DH had to go to work and talk to me before he went. Don't ya love it, and then I couldn't go back to sleep !

Oh well...It is August 14th and I have about 12 more days off before I enter the "back to school" fever. I am looking forward to it and then yet, I will miss sleeping ! My daughter is in fourth grade this year and is really looking forward to being the "oldest" grade in the school.

I like the routine of things as I have mentioned before, so it will be good.

What is new with everyone? Still seems quiet around here.

Whatever happened to Jo-Serendipity?????

It's 12:47 at night and my DH just got home. I had to stay up a little later than usual because I had my first shake today in late morning. I won't do that again, as I am still awake and will need to drink another shake before I go to bed ! I'd rather have another shake , than eat something off plan...

I met a nurses aide that will help take care of my father when my mom has errands to do. My dad has Alzheimer's Disease and still knows us and can do most things still on his own, except drive, do laundry, and pay bills. Any one out there dealing with parenting your parents???

Looking forward to a good week.........Back to school in a week ! EEEK !

Katesmom -

I know it's not the best thing to do, but I've had to double up supplements a few times this week because I got off-schedule. I can't afford to stay up late when I'm already dead on my feet, so I do that rather than wait another two hours to have something. I'm trying to do better on my timing, but if you ever just need to get to sleep, it's an option to consider.

Hey there. I hear ya on the staying up late... done that way too much lately. Now I'm trying to get back into the school schedule.

On the spacing thing.... I've actually spoken with Nancy on that issues (I was double hot cocoaing it sometimes. Its really a no-no. Too many carbs all at once. Her suggestion (and mine) is if you need to space medimeals closer... try to put at least an hour between them. The longer the better, but don't do two at once.

We've been crazy-busy with school starting and me moving schools (see my journal). We are always here though.... icon_wink.gif

Keep at it and you will do great. icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, thanks for the info, Mike. I've been double-cocoa-ing at least two or three times a week. I'll make sure to cut it out.

Thanks Mike..
By the way, what happens IF you have the shakes or MF meals too close together? Does it hold up your loss???

Just wondering !

Well, technically, since a crouton could in theory, take you out of the fat burning state... since its the carbs (and especially sugar) that can do that... you may have to restart if you have too many carbs at once. It depends on your body, how it responds, etc.

Thats not to say that it WILL take you our of ketosis, but it could.

Thanks Mike,
I think I really goofed up...Now I have an inkling as to why the scale isn't moving ! Every day I have been doubling up my last 2 shakes because I'm starting in the morning later, with my first one.

School starts in 2 days and I will be on a different routine (up at 5:30) and hopefully I will see a difference by having my first shake at 6:00 am vs. 10:00 !!

*sigh*

I will post again on Monday, and let you know how it's going !

Hiya KM

Is your daughter ready for school. My son goes into 5th grade this year. A new school all together. He is not looking forward to it. He tells me why do we need social studies, it happened in the past. Why do I need to know about dead presidents. LOL. Anyways wishing you luck on your first day at school.

How was your day? I am so exhausted. It is my first day back from 2 weeks of vacation. I can not wait to go to bed.

Hope you had a great day

I hope school is going well and the routine is helping you out. Still a little jealous of all the back-to-school fun - but not at 8am when I'm still in bed instead of on the road. icon_lol.gif
