Why do I keep getting this message every time I try to post?

Am I going to have to always copy/paste to post? I hope not.

I open more than one window while reading here and sometimes I try to post replies too close together which the system doesn't accept and then I'll get the error message. When this happens, are you hitting submit on the heels of a previous post (I do mean within 15 seconds or less)? If that isn't it, I don't have any experience with what is happening to you. Hopefully Unca will see this and have the answer for you.

It is still happening, but it seems like it happens if it thinks I take too long to post a reply. Guess I'm too long winded??

OK Unca, I'm getting really fed up now

Twice I wrote long replies on someones journal and got this message again. Then when I hit the back button, as instructed, my message was gone so there was no way to copy and post again!

Ouch sorry Mickey,
That's really frustrating when you have a long post.

One way around this is, just before you hit the "Submit" button, "Select all" and "Copy" your message before you submit it. That way you still have it on your clipboard and can copy it back into a post if it ends up in cyberspace.

The preventative code I added that causes this problem doesn't seem to be slowing down the spammers much, so I'll probably be removing it.

Thanks Unca. I am just doing my replies now in a word doc first and that seems to be working out for me. I appreciate all you do to keep this forum up and running. I think I'd be lost without all the MMT gang!

I finally got the message

I was posting in my journal (which of course takes time for me to add all of those little smilies), and when I posted I got the spamming message.

I think it comes when you take a long time to send the post after beginning it. At least that was my experience.

Still wish I had the experience of having it sent to hell before Unca fixed that little protocol.
