So I have been walking now for a month now. But I really wanted to start to run...... How should I go about doing this. Should I only do 20 miutes a day. I have been walking 25 minutes in the morning and 25 minutes in the evening. Or should I not even think about running.
I have not told anyone that i have been walking Because I really do not like exercise. But I would really like to pick up the pace. I am really shocked with myself that I even went walking when I went off program. so any suggestions would help. Also I just got a new Ipod with the armband so I am pumped

Hi Katie,
I would highly recommend the couch to 5k program. It really is the best Ive seen and when you read mags, like runner's world ect that's pretty much their program advice too.
Queenie is doing it well. check with her.
3 cheers for you Katie yay.gif

It's a good program, I agree (although I only did a couple of days of it, and then did my own thing). Basically it will have you alternate running and walking, gradually increasing the running. I would NOT just suddenly try to run for 20 minutes.
