Glad to hear that you are feeling postive today. Don't know if you and I had any contact back in '07....however, just in case we didn't it's been nice reading your journal. I hope we get to know each other while we both head down this path to better health.

Hi BIT,

I'm a restarter too (1-1/2 weeks into it) and doing well (AGAIN). I see we are around the same weight. We both know the program works and gets easier with time. It's the time we have to deal with right now.... DO NOT LOOK INTO THE LIGHT!! icon_smile.gif

Good luck to you,

Smarti

Hi, Everyone!

Doing great - not dropping lbs, but the inches are going! I've been working my way down a stack of blue jeans (had the largest on the top and the smaller sizes on the bottom). I'm getting closer to the bottom of the stack! Woohoo! icon_mrgreen.gif

Work gets better every day. I feel like I'm getting a handle on it. I might even start to enjoy it again. icon_lol.gif

Next Wednesday we fly out to Indiana for 5 days. Both of my folks are from the same town, Lafayette, so the majority of our relatives on both sides are there. I can't wait to see everyone! I have two grandparents left, my mom's mom and my dad's dad. Grandpa has been diagnosed with dementia and Mamaw with Alzheimers. So we all decided to have a huge family get-together to celebrate all being together while they can still recognize everyone! No-one has met my husband yet, so I can't wait for them to get to know him (poor guy icon_biggrin.gif ).

I'm takin' my MF with me!

It'll be fall in Indiana - real fall! icon_smile.gif We're still in the upper 80's here in Texas. I can't wait to show off the beautiful colors and leaves to Troy! We're going to the covered bridge festival on Friday, too. Maybe I'll get a bit of Christmas shopping done.

Thanks for all the encouragement and to everyone who stopped by to say hi!

Oh, that sounds like a really nice trip. I'm so envious that you still have grandparents, though!!! Have a wonderful time.

Your trip sounds great. I hope you have a wonderful time. The colors of fall have really taken off here in the midwest and the past couple of days the weather has been awesome. Today we were in the mid 70's and tomorrow is supposed to be the same.

Ack! I checked out the weather website and it says that next week Lafayette will have highs in the mid-sixties and lows in the upper 20's. It'll be overcast and maybe a little rainy. That's arctic temperatures to us Texans! I've gotta dig out the longjohns we bought for our trip to the Netherlands last March.
I can hear ya'll northerners laughing at me. icon_lol.gif

I have to admit, I am a little nervous to see everyone. Although I've lost weight, I'm actually just now back to the weight I was when I got married 3 years ago - the last time I saw any family. So although I feel good about my accomplishments so far, I know I'll still look big to my relatives - bigger than I was the last time I saw most of them.

I'm going to take my supplements so I won't have an "excuse" to fall off the program. But I'm hoping they won't make a big deal out of it. I want the trip to be about my grandparents and giving the family a chance to get to know my husband and my brother's kids, who they've never met. I don't want the attention to be on what I am (or am not) eating.

I guess I'm just having a fit of insecurity. Writing it out has helped me realize that's all it is. I think I'm actually over it now. icon_biggrin.gif

Hi,
Have a GREAT trip! Don't worry about what they'll think about the MF, anyone that wants to give you crap about the program...just make it about the grandfolks and let them know you're trying to keep healthy! It'll be great!

I've SO got to book a trip to see my grandma within a month or so!

Had a wonderful time with family in Indiana! The trip couldn't have gone better. The fall is absolutely beautiful there. The trees are gorgeous! I wish our wonderful family was closer!

Well, I didn't go overboard, but I was not all good. It was really difficult on the days we flew. I should've planned better. But it's only 3 lbs. Back to the grind! Right now, today!

Welcome back!! Setbacks happen. Sometimes you just do the best you can, and deal with it when you get back, like you're doing.

Glad to hear that you had fun on your trip. I love all the colors this time of year. They say by next week it will gone for us....then comes that terrible word...SNOW!!! yikes!! Have a great week!!
