Grayson -

I'm referring to taking your physical measurements such as your neck, chest, waist, upper arms, hips, thighs and calves. Be sure to take a photograph of yourself as well. Then during the times when your weight loss slows down (and we will all experience some of those times when we are totally program-compliant and yet for some reason our body takes a rest and does not drop any weight until it gets good & ready), you can re-measure and most likely you'll discover, you are losing inches even if you're not losing pounds.

Most people find they lose nearly as many inches as they do pounds.

Best wishes for your continued weight loss success, Grayson. It takes time, effort and discipline to make permanent lifestyle changes but it IS possible if you do not give up.

Well, I know generally what my measurements are (most especially waist and shirt size) because I keep having to buy new clothes, but I haven't thought to measure on a weekly basis like that.

I do know I've spent a small fortune on new clothes over the past seven months! icon_biggrin.gif

Grayson ~

Hey, you're so right, belts or waistbands and neckbands on shirts are great indicators of weight loss success. It sounds like you are doing great. It is not necessary to weigh weekly but it is psychologically helpful to take one's measurements when it seems the scale is slowing down.
