Hello! Back into the land of the living.....watch out for these late spring-time viruses.....they are brutal!
Weight--- Yep, all is good! I'd still like to get a couple more pounds off for wiggle room.....but, I'm smiling at the numbers I see on the scale now.
I have a busy day so best get things done around here this a.m.
Hope all are doing well!
If anyone talks with Lizabette....will you tell her she is greatly missed? Thanks! |

Well, what to write?
I'm still plugging along on, maintaining the majority of my weight loss which makes me proud. I just wish I was seeing my goal weight on the scale each day----but that is to come. I am working on controlling my head hungries/desires or if not controlling the thoughts at least controlling how often I allow myself a 'treat'.
I spoke with Nancy last night about my BeSlim order and 'treats' were one of the things we mentioned. During this maintaining time I am allowed a 'treat' on occasion. But my problem has been that I want a treat occasion to be multiple times during each day.
Yes, that doesn't work well to keep the weight where you want it to be.
So....still plugging along. Some days are filled with wonderful and wise choices.....other days aren't filled with much intelligence used in my decisions towards food.
In other words----keeping the weight off is challenging.
But it is a challenge that is well worth winning. Fighting to never put the weight back on and having to revisit obesity......which brings such sadness, self disgust and recriminations. I may lose a battle (or three or five) with food desires but I plan on winning the war!
So, that is it for me.....I'm here, I'm doing MF and I'm maintaining--maintaining a bit higher than I'd prefer, but I will be back to my goal weight very soon. |

Glad to see you're doing OK, T. And yep, it's very easy for OCCASIONAL treats to come along more than occasionally.
I'm working on finding more acceptable treats that I can actually work into my day's food. Like this week, I'm cutting some fat elsewhere so that I can have a little 100-cal pack of guacamole with my afternoon snack. Or I saw some gorgeous grapes at Costco, and have been having those as part of my morning snack. Not quite the same as, say, an ice cream sundae, but still a "treat" I look forward to.
The less healthy treats are back to a once-a-week (and not even EVERY week lately) indulgence.
Are you still walking and getting some exercise? |

Sojo, I forgot.......I am a WARRIOR!!!
TAWANDA!!!!!!
LOL Thank you for the reminder.
Hi Joy!
Robin, I've still been wearing my pedometer, averaging about 7,000 steps a day (not horrible but not so great). My pants are so uncomfortably tight that it has been pretty easy to remember that I *need* to stick to intelligent choices. |

| That's ONE way to do it. I actually suggested that to someone here who is on a plan similar to Medifast (but more expensive and IMHO not as good, but she wouldn't listen). She had to go to a bridal shower and I suggested she wear something tight and a little uncomfortable. |

| Tawanda, how many steps a day are you supposed to walk? I was curious about that. |

HB, hope you are still doing well! I admire that you are devoting yourself to getting this done!
Stacey, I am working towards getting 10,000 steps in each day. I wear the pedometer daily, record my steps in FitDay, but still (ugh) haven't started a true daily exercise routine. My bad!
Hello Joy!
Well, I'm still here. I still read the posts at least once each day but just don't feel that I have much to offer. In looking back through my daily weigh-ins on FitDay, I've not seen 147 (my goal and maintaining weight) for well over a month. I do great with my food choices for days and then go overboard with something sugary, which then spirals into more sugary choices. Not wise.
My jeans are very tight but I still wear them daily. I don't throw them in the dryer though. I refuse to buy bigger clothes. So long as I am wearing these same clothes, then I have not lost complete control and I still consider myself maintaining my weight loss. I don't feel quite right about calling myself at goal and maintaining when I've not seen 147 for over 30 days.......but then I tell myself it is all a part of the learning process. I will continue working on wise choices and I will get myself back to 147 as soon as possible.
So.......that is the update from here. |
