Just checking to see if the site is working--hard for me to imagine that someone hasn't posted for well over 36 hours.
Today is a day for memories......we'll be having a barbeque with some of our kids later this evening, until then just a lot of time for reminiscing. I hope everyone is doing well. |

Tawanda - congratulations on reaching your goal! I wonder how many others I've missed - just checking in on a lazy Monday to see how things are going here. I hope you are enjoying your skinny self on Memorial Day! Do you have pictures in the studio? I'll have to go check that thread out and see. |

Hello! June 1st - new week and new month--feels good.
I'm not happy with where I am right now in regards to my weight nor my fitness level so those are a couple things that I'm going to work on diligently this month. I also want to return to being involved here more. I've been reading, just not feeling up to posting which easily becomes a habit instead of just a break.
Worked outside in the yard for hours yesterday which was great exercise, bending, stretching, pulling weeds, digging.....I was really tired at the end of the day. We had thai food for lunch so this morning's weight made me groan.
Just wanted to check in---it was nice to hear how Nickie is doing through her pregnancy. Thanks Robin for popping in to say hello, too! |

I, like you, find it too easy to come in and read, but not always post. I'm trying to do better. I just feel like I don't have much motivating to say, since I'm not actively doing MF.
I appreciate your outlook-new week, new month! I second that! |

Hello everyone! Thank you for coming to say 'hello'.
June 3rd and 3rd day into returning to intelligent food choices. Amazing how fast I can go back to my old ways and poor choices. I do not know if that will ever change (returning to my poor food choices) but so long as I can stop the weight gain, get back to wise eating and drop the pounds back off....then I'll be content (for awhile) with that.
Currently I am doing 5-1 and my plan is to continue that at least through June. Now I am fully aware that to plan for a "30 day no cheat return to compliance" has been the kiss of death many times previously, I did think of a list of reasons why it is important to me to follow through on this plan.
I'm not wanting to go shopping for bigger clothing sizes.
I'm not willing to spend my days in misery because I've gained some weight and now my jeans and undergarments are uncomfortably tight.
I'm not willing to become one of those who has gained all their weight back (I've done this in the past and I do NOT want to do that again.....it is too stinking hard to take the pounds off and I don't want to go through the agony of letting myself down again).
MF has worked so wonderfully for me these past 15 months---I can keep my weight (and my appetite) under control......heck, it has to be easier to do than losing 60+ pounds all over again.....
I want that pride back when I step on the scale and see 144....right now I see a bigger number (higher than my goal weight of 147) and there is no pride in that one for me.
My oatmeal is getting cold so I need to quit yakking and start eating....LOL
I hope everyone is doing well and that June will be a great month for all of us! |

| Oh, T, I so understand. I could have written that post (but I, too, am back on track finally - and trying to stay that way till my trip July Fourth weekend for a friend's wedding). |

Hi Robin!
Today is day 4 and things are going along fine. Not perfect, but really, really good! I am pleased with my progress so far in keeping my focus and taking care of myself. I'd love to do some shopping but want to wait until I'm back down below goal. The new jeans purchase (by Robin and my family member) has made me eager to go out and see what I can find for jeans---I'm tired of my Penney's $24 choices and even if I don't buy anything different, I'm eager to go out and try on some different brands.
Almost time to make another cup of coffee and have my oatmeal.
I hope everyone has a great day with wise, healthy choices. |

| If you're not so hourglassy either, you might also try on a few men's pairs. I know it's weird, but they really DO seem to look better on me, and they don't gap at the waist like the women's jeans usually do. I'm thinking of going this weekend and trying on a couple of cheaper pairs, just to see. Maybe some shorts, if they're not horribly long on me. |

| Summertime sore throat and cold. Drained, stuffy, bordering on miserable. Be back when I feel better. Off to nap while the grandbabies are sleeping. |

Sorry to feel that you're feeling so puny, Mizz T
Those summer colds, sore throats, etc. are the worst aren't they?
Here's some Sojo's Mojo for ya'... I hope it works!
